The latest instalment in the franchise; Halo: 5 is getting more DLC to add to it's feature list in the form of the games 3rd free add-on pack: Hammer Storm.
Halo has for a very long time been at the forefront of FPS on consoles, ever since the original title 'Halo: Combat Evolved' launched on Xbox back in 2001 it has been a driving force in competitive gameplay on consoles; even being one of the major factors in the popularisation of Xbox live with Halo 2's multiplayer as an evolution of LAN gameplay.
The current iteration of the series is no different, being a hub of competitive and social gaming for games of all stripes
Already released DLC packs for Halo: 5 include 'Battle of Shadow and Light' with 4 new maps and 'The Cartographer's Gift' which added Forge mode as well as several additional maps. This new add-on to the multiplayer fun is called 'Hammer Storm' and was demonstrated by the 343 team during a Twitch live stream.
If you don't particularly fancy viewing the entire livestrem then a short summary of the additions as quoted from 'Gamespot' can be found below:
"The expansion includes a new map for Arena called Torque, as well as new gametypes like Fiesta, Assault, and the fan-favorite (sic) Grifball. Players can also expect a variety of new Reqs, including the Gravity Hammer. Additionally, the new Decimator and Marauder armor sets come to the game with the update." - Gamespot
This is part of content updates that 343 intend to keep releasing until June of this year. The 'Hammer Storm' has been confirmed to be released before this weekend and a Tweet from their verified account showed off all the newly added REQ's.
