The Walking Dead: Michonne RELEASES TOMORROW

After much allusion and several months of waiting the trailer for the newest instalment in Telltale's The Walking Dead series has finally been released! The first episode called "In Too Deep" releases tomorrow on the 23/02/2016 in true abrupt Telltale fashion. But what can we learn from the freshly released launch trailer?

Well I just settled down to watch it with the Mrs. and I have to say in my humble reptilian opinion, it leaves a rather luke-warm if not bland sensation on the palette.

Now, full disclosure; at this point Telltale have made such a fanboy out of me that they could produce a five part series about an algebra teacher struggling to get his students grades up and I'd likely run out and purchase the season pass for the content. Having said that, while I thoroughly enjoy all things Telltale, and think their current two seasons of The Walking Dead are more than worth the accolades they've accrued; including VGX Award for Game of the Year 2012, I have never as of yet been able to stomach the associated TV show.

This is likely due to my attention span and the shows slow opening from what I've been told and it seems to me that this new instalment for The Walking Dead has been made in much the same vein. This is especially apparent as Michonne herself is as a quick Google search told me a character who has had a major role already within the canon of The Walking Dead's universe.

As such the new trailer... Oh wait those are spoilers. Why not check out the trailer below by yourself first so we can discuss it?

We on the same page now? Yes? Brilliant, as I was saying...

The new trailer seems to show the new Walking Dead episodic adventure leaning quite heavily on character development for Michonne, perhaps delving into her past and exploring her character for those who are familiar with her from the show.

The action element seems fairly downplayed here but it is worth noting that this trailer is specifically for episode one and as such is unlikely to be representative of the whole finished experience. The question remains however; will this adventure prove to be as interesting to those who don't watch the show such as myself, and will this impact the future of other Walking Dead games from Telltale.

As demonstrated from the trailer above, The Walking Dead: Michonne. Unlike any Telltale project to date is a mere 3 episodes long and serves as a spin off to the mainline of the series.

The new game will release on:

  • Xbox 360
  • Xbox One
  • PS3
  • PS4
  • PC (Steam)
With the developer intending to release a Version for IOS and Android in the near future.

Will you be getting this new game tomorrow at launch or will you wait for the reviews first? Are you excited to learn more about this character or is this a misstep for Telltale? Let us know what you think in the comments, we'll let you know our verdict after playing. In the mean time:

Warhammer 40K: Deathwatch OUT THIS WEEK

Gamers

Hi guys thought i would share this one with you all as the release date is this week and to be honest i'm looking forward to it so why not spread the word.

Warhammer is releasing Deathwatch onto Apple store costing £3.99 or $4.99 you will either need a Ipad 4, Ipad mini 2, Iphone 5 or Iphone 5c to play this game. Now I dont know if this means it wont be available for the Iphone 6 which it surely will be. Why wouldn't you bring out a new game on the newest software/device. Who know we will see on 16-07-15.

This will be a turn-based strategy game (surprisingly) and you are left in control of a group of special space marines called Deathwatch. You and Deathwatch have to fight against the Tyranid. Gaining experience points for new abilities and upgrading stats and also on the hunt for new gear to make your squad epic. The campaign will consist of 40 missions, Nine acts and 15 hours of gameplay so defo worth the money. If that wasn't enough for you there is a side mission of collecting all the codex book which will eventually unlock wargear and relics, there are 250 pieces to collect so have fun with that.

I have uploaded a few screenshots below.

Tell me what you think will you guys be getting this game?

Kings Road (IOS/Android)

Gamers

This is a new game i have been playing on the new iphone and to be honest i'm addicted to it its amazing.
If its your thing to have a MMORPG at your fingertips then you will love this. You basically go on different missions first off on normal level rising up to legendary which you will then need to find parties and help from fellow players to complete.
You can pick from 3 different classes the Archer, Knight, Wizard you can change your class as much as you want but you have to level each class separately but you wont lose your progress when changing class which i find a great idea. The game works off coins and gems coin buying your forges, enchants and food/ale, where gems will buy the obvious better gear, chests the obvious. A word of advice to gain gems you must complete the missions for a 5 gem reward you can also send out an apprentice who on the odd occasion will have the chance to do her own quest for gems over a certain amount of time. Now i know it is difficult to save and wait and not to buy the good gear but its not worth it buy bag slots and inventory space. I have found that the hardest part of the game is keeping your bag space low for the next mission without selling everything. You do however get a BANKER which you can store items in this can be upgraded also so i recommend you do that to.
This is the inventory screen as well as your gear, just like most RPGs you can gather gear and increase in rarity with change of stats and strength. They have a wide range of looks for the weapons and armour and have some great customisation to really play the way you want to play.
This is the forge where you can slowly build up armour or evolve armour to create some legendary work. There is a slight chance that the forgery will gain awesome forge which will add gem slots for enchanting enhancing the gear. First of you start with a fine item which you need 3 common items to forge into a random fine item, then a epic you need 4 fine items and then for legendary you need 5 epics. So keep up on your bag space is a must to save all them items to get to a final epic item making your character insane. The item created seems to be a random item so you can throw a chest a chest a chest in and you will get a fine shoulder plate.
Enchanting is also a big part of the game where most items will have gem slots to socket into giving bonuses to stats. You can also upgrade and evolve the gems allowing them for a stronger bonus and a better stat bonus.
This is the apprentice who can level increasing the loot she gets from the quests and increasing the XP she gets to level up she can level up once a day if you complete all the quests she has the quests refresh every 24 hours.
There is also a battle tournament which uses energy this is to prove yourself against mighty foes for loot. once you have completed one of this foes of deathness you can fight them at a harder level for better loot and gear.
Here is the a ok screenshot of the game play it is like diablo with your skills at the bottom which you can level up and increase every time you level up and gain a skill point and as you level up more skills are unlocked and you can choose the 5 skills you think will aid your gameplay style which i think is a great feature.

The best thing about this game is other than the battle tournament there is no energy you don't have to wait for 10 hours for your energy to build up again you can just play and enjoy the game for as long as you wish. which is a huge plus for me because most games you have to wait for your energy and i hate that you're getting into you want to play and boom wait 10 hours for your energy to refill no thanks.

Guys give it ago and comment if you want my addy on there we can party up ;)

what do you guys think will you play?
